Instrumental teacher of guitar
(applications from teachers with a specialism in Rock and Pop particularly welcomed)
Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) are seeking to appoint skilled and high-quality teachers of music across all disciplines to work as part of our large and diverse team. We would especially welcome applications from candidates who teach guitar and we would also welcome applications from multi-discipline teachers and those who can drum or play keyboard in particular.

As a member of staff you will:
- Be an effective teacher who can maintain high standards of teaching and learning in Whole Class Instrumental Tuition (WCIT), small group and individual lesson settings.
- Always keep student safeguarding and well-being as a priority.
- Deliver engaging and motivational lessons with appropriate content.
- Prepare students for assessment as appropriate, such as Internal Awards, national exam boards, public examinations etc.
- Demonstrate effective time-keeping, lesson planning, record keeping and complete administrative duties efficiently.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with all stakeholders: pupils, parents, schools, colleagues and line managers.
- Be supportive of the wider organisation and schools by actively promoting engagement in ensemble activities including NMPAT Saturday Centres and County Groups.
- Be a positive addition to the teams of which you are a part: schools, centres, instrumental discipline, and the wider NMPAT and Music Education Hub community.
- Demonstrate the ability to be an enthusiastic and effective learner, maintaining personal instrumental skills and developing understanding of repertoire and pedagogy through engagement with CPD.
- Share knowledge and support colleagues; collaborate and seek to learn.
- Maintain a knowledge of NMPAT policies and procedures and model the behaviours set out in the NMPAT code of conduct.
- Be able to take on other duties as appropriate.
We are looking for a versatile guitar teacher who can inspire students within a range of styles but especially rock and pop. Successful candidates will be confident with up-to-date methods of teaching classical, acoustic and electric styles of guitar and confident demonstrating these skills. Candidates should be confident teaching students individually and in group settings as the work will span across our schools and Centres. We would especially welcome applications from candidates who would be confident delivering basic keyboard or drumming skills too.

Saturday Music Centre Tutor
Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) is seeking to appoint skilled and enthusiastic instrumental teachers to work in one of our thriving and vibrant Saturday Centres across the County. We are actively seeking staff to enhance our Rock and Pop offer (guitar, keyboard or drums) or drama in particular. However, we would always welcome applications from candidates who can offer teaching in other disciplines in addition.

Our Centres form an integral part of our Music and Performing Arts pathway: they provide children across the County with the opportunity to take their first steps in music making; enhance the learning that takes place in their individual or group lessons in school; allow them to learn to play and perform with others in a range of groups and ensembles. Each Centre offers a diverse range of sessions from Early Years drama through to brass ensembles and ska groups!

Teacher of Rock and Pop
Currently we are seeking Rock and Pop practitioners. We are seeking individuals with Rock and Pop experiences and enthusiasm for exploring a wide repertoire with our students. Basic knowledge of guitar chords and drumming will be required but we are particularly looking for individuals with guitar experience or drumming experience to work with our young performers. There may be scope to build on this appointment in the future and deliver teaching and projects for NMPAT in the working week. The capacity to deliver other teaching on other instruments and in other formats would also be welcomed.
Teacher of drama or musical theatre
Currently we are seeking a drama/ musical theatre practitioners. We are seeking individuals with an enthusiasm for drama and a willingness to work with a variety of age ranges – from EYFS to KS5. The capacity to deliver teaching on an instrument or dance would be valued as our programme is varied.

Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) is seeking supporters with a background in finance, to join the Board of Trustees.
Successful candidates will have a background in finance, able to support and challenge the Executive, over the financial management and health of the organisation. They will need to be committed to supporting an educational charity to provide opportunities for thousands of young musicians and performing artists.
