Play and Stay residentials

Enjoy a two-day residential course for young brass players in years 4-8 from across Northamptonshire, designed to develop musical skills, ensemble playing, and confidence in a fun, supportive environment!

Dates: Thursday 26th and Friday 27th February 2026

Venue: Frontier Centre, Irthlingborough, NN9 5UH

Cost: £175, including meals, accommodation, and tuition

Additional opportunities: Participants are invited to perform in NMPAT’s Brass Festival on Sunday 19 April 2026 at the Spinney Theatre, Northampton.

County Ensemble October residentials

All students in County Training Wind Orchestra and County Training Brass Band are encouraged to attend a residential course at the Frontier Centre, Irthlingborough, as part of their programme of rehearsals and events this academic year.  The course is a great way to get to know other students and staff members, and to have fun whilst making music.  There may also be opportunities for the ensembles to play together during the course.  If you have any questions or queries regarding the course, please talk to your conductor or contact the NMPAT Office: office@nmpat.co.uk

  • Times: 9.00am on Monday to 3.00pm on Tuesday
  • Venue: Rock UK Frontier Centre, Irthlingborough, NN9 5UH
  • Cost: £175 inclusive of accommodation, all meals and tuition throughout the course
  • Registration:
    • Families looking to apply for the Frontier bursary scheme must submit the registration form by Friday 29th August
    • All registration forms must be submitted by Friday 26th September – https://bit.ly/CTBBCTWOFrontier2025

CTWO and CTBB conductors will be in touch with more details early in the new term.

Payment for the course can be made via your ParentPay account, with the full balance due by Friday 26th September.

All students in County Junior Brass Ensemble and County Training Orchestra are encouraged to attend a residential course at the Frontier Centre, Irthlingborough, as part of their programme of rehearsals and events this academic year.  The course is a great way to get to know other students and staff members, and to have fun whilst making music.
