Instrumental and vocal lessons

Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust work with nearly every school in the county to provide instrumental and vocal lessons.  As lead partner of the Northamptonshire and Rutland Music Hub, the Trust enables delivery of a whole class First Access project to every child during their primary school career, with opportunities for students to continue their learning in smaller group or individual lessons.

NMPAT Teachers

All teaching staff are qualified, experienced musicians who have been subject to a safer recruitment process and enhanced criminal record check.  They are regularly observed and receive training throughout the year to help them maintain and develop their teaching skills.

Teachers are required to keep accurate records of their visits to schools, including signing in when they arrive and taking a weekly register.  NMPAT commit to providing 33 lessons throughout the year, leaving 5 weeks available for teachers to visit schools and catch up any lessons missed due to illness.  Where necessary, schools will be refunded for lessons that can’t be caught up, at the end of the academic year.  Further details can be found in the terms and conditions for school based lessons.
