Brass Bands
All three brass bands rehearse weekly, during term time, at NMPAT.
County Junior Brass Ensemble is conducted by Chris Jeffs and Emily Roberts, with Tim Green as their Percussion coordinator. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings, from 5.30-7.00pm, in Room 4 at NMPAT. The instrumental line up often includes french horns and trumpets as well as tenor horns as cornets, to give all young brass players their first experience of playing in a County Ensemble.

County Training Brass Band is conducted by James Blake and Brad Turnbull, with Tim Green as their Percussion coordinator. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings, from 6.15-8.15pm, in Room 5 at NMPAT.

County Youth Brass Band is conducted by Rob Fleming, with percussion sectionals taken by Matt Butler. They rehearse on Saturday mornings, from 9.15am-12.15pm, in the Theatre Area at NMPAT. The band regularly perform at local and national festivals and events and, in July 2025, travelled to Germany on a concert tour.

Concert Dress
The concert dress guidelines below are meant as a general reference. For the most accurate details, please refer to the specific event letter.
CJBE: Coloured shirts/polo shirts and black trousers/skirts with black socks/tights and clean black shoes. Any skirts/dresses should be at or below knee length, and worn with black tights.
CTBB: White shirts and black trousers/skirts with black socks/tights and clean black shoes. Any skirts should be at or below knee length, and worn with black tights.
