Symphony Orchestras

All three symphony orchestras rehearse weekly, during term time, at NMPAT.

County Junior Orchestra is conducted by Sam Ebrahim and Pam Carter.  They rehearse from 6.00-8.30pm on Thursday evening, in the Edmund Rubbra Hall at NMPAT.

County Training Orchestra is conducted by Lauren Evans and Tim Green.  They rehearse from 9.00am-12.00pm on Saturday mornings, in the Richard Coles Hall at NMPAT.

County Youth Orchestra is conducted by John Bickerdike and Richard Smith.  They rehearse from 9.00am-12.30pm on Saturday mornings, in the Edmund Rubbra Hall at NMPAT.  The orchestra regularly performs at local and national festivals and, in July 2024, travelled to Spain with County Youth Choir, on a concert tour.

Concert Dress

The concert dress guidelines below are meant as a general reference. For the most accurate details, please refer to the specific event letter.

CJO: White shirt or blouse, black trousers or skirt, black socks or tights and clean black shoes. Skirts should be at or below knee length, and worn with black tights.

CTO: Black shirts and black trousers/skirts with black socks/tights and clean black shoes. All skirts should be at or below knee length and worn with thick black tights.

CYO: All black, smart, including clean black shoes. Any skirts/dresses should be at or below knee length, and worn with black tights.
