NMPAT Youth Theatre provides high quality performing arts opportunities for young people aged 9 to 18. We keep the social, emotional and educational development of our young people at the heart of what we do, aiming to inspire and nurture our students, allowing them to excel.
Each week, we incorporate games to encourage participation and team working, improving our communication skills and encouraging articulate, confident and well-rounded individuals to advance their skills in all aspects of theatre craft:
- Acting – performing scripted plays from Greek Theatre up to the present day
- Devised Drama
- Musical Theatre – vocal techniques and creative movement
- Technical Stagecraft: sound, lighting, production, direction, set design and make up
- Physical Theatre
- Playwriting
We offer Skills Workshops to support our weekly activities, which have included:
- Frantic Assembly Theatre – Physical Theatre
- Circus skills
- Sound and lighting
