What we do each week

Games and activities build teamwork, communication and confidence, helping students become articulate, well-rounded performers. Sessions cover:

  • Acting scripted plays from Greek theatre to the present day
  • Devised drama
  • Musical theatre vocal technique and creative movement
  • Technical stagecraft sound, lighting, production, direction, set design and make-up
  • Physical theatre
  • Playwriting

Extra workshops support our weekly sessions, including:

  • Physical theatre with Frantic Assembly
  • Circus skills
  • Sound and lighting

We also run a script-writing competition to encourage young writers and focus on nurturing creativity, as well as having fun and making friends.

Everything we do builds towards a big end-of-year show in the summer term, a celebration of our students’ efforts.
